New SMART Funding approved by Government of Canada to assist manufacturers in Ontario

The new $18.9-million initiative, titled SMART Prosperity Now by the CME (Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Association), is designed to help manufacturers enhance their market position and overall competitiveness by improving operational efficiency, investing in equipment and commercializing new technologies to boost their global presence through exporting of their goods.

The funds will be administered and distributed by the CME who will also be holding a series of workshops to assist companies through the application process. The CME expects to begin accepting applications in February. To find out more about this new program read this announcement or check the CME SMART Program website.

NOTE:  To qualify for this funding your company must currently be an exporter or planning to export.
