Summer Intern This past May we had the pleasure of taking on board our first intern, Tesha Haggard. Tesha is currently a student at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) where she is majoring in Business Management- Legal Studies and minoring in Environmental Studies. (more)

Knoxville will miss you, Erin Burns! As Sustainability Coordinator for the City of Knoxville and project coordinator for the Solar America Cities grant funding, Erin has played a significant role in preparing Knoxville to become a leader in solar energy in the Southeast. The Tennessee solar industry appreciates all that she has done and wishes her the best of luck as she leaves the City of Knoxville to go to graduate school.

That was easy (but don't try this at home) Robbie Thomas, President of Efficient Energy of Tennessee made the historical installation of the first utility scale Solar PV System at 1 Megawatt look easy. Truth be known the system has been in the planning stages for 18 months. The commitment to thorough planning and engineering allowed Efficient Energy of Tennessee to complete the 1 MW Solar PV installation in less than three months! That is over 11,000 watts a day.
